Next Victim...

Dear next male I deal with.. I’ll bull shit with you for a couple weeks like how you do us women. Tell you lies cuz it seems like that's what gets u liking us. Lead u on knowing damn well I don’t want any thing serious. By then you will be too into me to leave me alone and I’ll have you hooked for at least 6 months to a year. You’ll keep trying and trying thinking you can change my mind because your ego and self-pride won’t let you look like you failed but you won’t and that’s actually a part of my plan. The reason I’m going to do this is because when I want something and say I want a relationship, dudes run from it but stay around hoes who ain't bout this lifestyle. I’m all fucked up today. Excuse me.

A Monologue from Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls"

A rapist doesn't have to be a stranger to be legitimate. Someone you never saw. A man with obvious problems. But if you been public with him, danced one dance, kissed him goodbye lightly with a closed mouth, pressing charges will be as hard as keeping your legs closed while five fools try and run a train on you. These men friends of ours, who smile nicely, take you out to dinner, then lock the door behind you.  Women relinquish all rights in the presence of a man who could apparently be considered a rapist especially if he has been considered a friend and is no less worthy of being beat within an inch of his life and being publicly ridiculed having two fists shoved up his ass than the stranger we always thought it would be who never showed up cause it turns out the nature of rape has changed.  We can now meet them in circles we frequent for companionship, see them at the coffeehouse with someone else we know, we can even have them over for dinner and get raped in our own houses by invitation.

Letting Go

*Sigh* I've been doing A LOT of that lately, and I know exactly why. Today was a bit sad for me, as I made the decision to let go of someone I've come to care very deeply about... I've been battling this decision for weeks now, I prayed on it I asked god to let his will be done... If it's meant to be, it will be, if it isn't well... I'm writing about lost so, you know who that cookie crumbled.

The relationship, if I can call it that, it was wonderful... But at the same time I wanted more & I guess you can say he isn't ready for that right now... I know what your thinking "well maybe you should have gotten the facts from the start" Well, I basically went into this with a  "go with the flow, enjoy the moment" mindset, & somewhere along that road we got too close & well... *sigh*

Its a lot more to this situation that I don't feel like getting into but although I lost a lover, I also feel like I've lost a friend.... And that hurts... It breaks my heart that I had to end things the way I did given the beautiful morning that we had, cracking jokes & just messing around. I know it probably came as a shock to him, and in no way did I just wake up and said to myself "I'm so gonna' leave this dude today" I just wanted to get to the bottom of his feelings and see what his intentions were regarding our relationship for the next few months...

The thing is, everyday we are taught that life is too short to not tell someone how you feel. Over the weekend we lost a beautiful, talented, bright young lady due to a car crash... Although I didn't know her personally, she was always so graceful & humble each time I saw her... Her friends & love ones didn't know that would be the last of her they would see... All of that to say this, tomorrow isn't promised, so although i'm sad that I had to let Mr. Wonderful go, i'm also relieved knowing that I let him know how I felt, and I am not gonna' settle for anything less than I deserve.

Who knows, maybe he would have let go of his fear of commitment tomorrow, next week or a month from today. However, we've been knowing each other for 6months & I just wouldn't feel right knowing that I left these thoughts on my mind another day & not let him know how I feel... According to him, besides a title or a "facebook status" (as he puts it)  we have a relationship.... O_o... Yea. Ok... Anyway.. I'm done with this for now, i'll just keep praying & pushing forward.

Hello. Good Morning!

My My My. A good amount of time has passed since I've written.. I haven't had the inspiration to do a blog as much as I use to. I get bored easily. Anyway, not much is going on, 2012 is here & I'm blessed to be alive & in good health.

Recap of 2011... Some great things happened last year but it wasn't without its share of mishaps... So let's go back, shall we:

The year started out rather good, and than a few months down the line I was laid off due to cutting cost.. Or so they say *rolls eyes*. Nevertheless, I bounced back from that rather quickly and found a job as a chiropractic assistant... I'm still there!

Ahhh, summer... You just gotta love summer. Romance blossoms, memories are made, parties, beach bums... *sigh* Life changing if I may say so myself :) *I am so blushing btw*. Anyways, I met a guy and all I will say is that HE IS WONDERFUL... I call him Mr. Wonderful. I'm not going any further than that.

My family was extended in 2011, my niece was born.. Alexi Amani.. She is now 10months old & acts as if she is 3yrs old lol. I love her. My god daughter was also born.. Jamaiyah Sanai.. She's 9months & the juiciest lil thing I've ever seen. She's amazing. Lastly, my spoonkins gave us a scare but he is well & in good health.. My cousin gave birth to Malakai Tony.. He's sweet.

I finally turned 25.. Whoop Whoop. I had a b-day dinner with close friends n family than spend the rest of the night with Mr. Wonderful.

Christmas came & went.. I got all that I wanted but my happiness doesn't come from material things... My best gifts this year came in the tiniest packages... Good health, my little babies & Mr. Wonderful... In that order!!!

How was 2011 for you?
